This second edition of the
Future of Film will explore
how mixed cultural heritage influences the way we tell
stories.
People of mixed cultural heritage live in every nook and corner of the world today. Many find creative mediums to shine a light on untold and diverse stories, which often portray a kaleidoscope of perspectives and cultures.
A common theme of discussion amongst those who belong to different cultural heritages, is identity. Quite often there’s either a fierce stronghold in embracing their mixed heritage identity, or a feeling of displacement and loss, which permeates their creative expression.
Through this conference we hope to listen, understand and celebrate how these ethnically varied filmmakers, writers, journalists, artists, psychologists and entrepreneurs find ways to engage and express themselves through the many hued lenses of creativity.
